Six patterns of hormonal abnormalities were however observed in this study among infertile men with abnormal hormone levels, which are; 51.6% (96/186) normogonadotrophic-hypogonadism, 26.3% (49/186 normogonadotrophic-hypergonadism, 7.5%(14/186 elevated FSH, 8.1% (15/186) elevated LH levels, 3.8% (07/186) hypergonadotropic-hypergonadism, and 2.7% (05/186) hyperprolactinemia. The gene discussed is PLOD1; the disease is hypogonadism.
