In Helicobacter pylori-associated gastroduodenopathies caused by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in patients with osteoarthritis, there is an increase in apoptosis intensity (increase in the serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-α with a simultaneous decrease in the content of sAPO-1/Fas) and an increase in the content of epidermal growth factor. Here, EGF is linked to osteoarthritis.
