In this study, 1519 RA cases and 1476 healthy controls were genotyped for 441,398 single-nucleotide polymorphisms, and along with many other susceptibility signals, AFF3 rs10865035 was successfully associated with the RA at genome-wide significance level (P < 5 × 10−08) [19]. This evidence concerns the gene AFF3 and rheumatoid arthritis.
