To further validate the role of ERK/p38 MAPK pathway in SIRT1 mediated- airway inflammation in asthma, we used the p38 inhibitor SB203580 and the ERK inhibitor U0126 to examine whether blocking ERK/p38 MAPK activation could reverse the amplified cytokine production caused by SIRT1 deficiency. This evidence concerns the gene SIRT1 and asthma.
