GNG5 and central nervous system cancer: To observe the effect of downregulated GNG5 on migration and proliferation of tumor cells, we established a U251 glioma cell line with stable knockdown of GNG5. MTT assay indicated that the cell proliferation ability decreased obviously after reducing the expression of GNG5 (Fig. 7c), which was similarly confirmed by cell clonogenic assay (Fig. 7d, e) and Ki67 IF staining (Fig. 7f, g).
