The anti-fibrotic peptide, AcSDKP which suppresses the TGF-β-induced EndMT in diabetic kidney (Nagai et al., 2014; Hrenak et al., 2015) can also, alone or in combination with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEi), ameliorates renal fibrosis by suppressing DPP-4 and restoring the anti-fibrotic miR-29s and miR-let-7s expression in TGF-β-induced EndMT (Srivastava et al., 2020a). Here, TGFB1 is linked to renal fibrosis.
