FUS/TLS has been identified forming fusion with different genes such as DNA damage-inducible transcript 3 protein (DDIT3 or CHOP) and V-Ets avian erythroblastosis virus E26 oncogene homolog (ETS2), and several rearrangements between domains of different transcription factors and the RNA-binding domain of EWSR1 or the N-terminal domain of EWSR1 or TAF15 have been reported in cancer (Campos-Melo et al., 2014). This evidence concerns the gene EWSR1 and cancer.
