The Cox model adjusted for age, sex, MELD, CRP, HCC, and LFI showed that NAFLD patients had higher all-cause mortality (HR = 1.88 95% CI 1.32–2.67, p < 0.001) and were more sensitive to the increase in LFI (HR = 1.51, 95% CI 1.05–2.2). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
