Based on the discovery that GATA3 was largely expressed in distant metastasis but not in lung tumors, the study believed that GATA3 was necessary for EMT, invasion and metastasis of lung adenocarcinoma cells 44, while Lysyl hydroxylases including LH2 and LH3 played a distinct role as the direct transcription target of GATA3 to drive lung cancer cell metastasis 45. Here, GATA3 is linked to lung carcinoma.
