A study investigating the association between synaptosomal associated protein (SNAP25) rs3746544 polymorphism and functional connectivity density (FCD) in male children with ADHD found that rs3746544 TT homozygous carriers showed decreased local functional connectivity hubs in the anterior cingulate cortex and dorsal lateral prefrontal cortex as compared to rs3746544 G-allele carriers, suggesting that the SNAP25 polymorphism is linked with ADHD162. The gene discussed is SNAP25; the disease is attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.
