In summary, we uncovered that overexpression of LINC00473 in IPA upregulates KMT5A by ceRNA-mediated miR-502-3p evasion, and the upregulation of KMT5A increases expression of cyclin D1 and CDK2, the key proteins of the cell cycle, which favors cell cycle progression and promote cell proliferation, leading to tumor proliferation and invasion (Fig. 7).
