Our recent work indicates that miR-375 suppresses the stemness of breast cancer cells through targeting JAK2 and thus inhibiting the JAK2/STAT3 pathway [32], although we did not exclude that miR-375 might attenuate the stemness of GC cells through targeting the JAK2/STAT3 pathway in this work, we suggest that miR-375 could regulate the stemness of tumor cells through different mechanisms in different tumors. This evidence concerns the gene JAK2 and gastric cancer.
