Of the 18 reviews included in this overview, eight analyzed laboratory parameters in patients with COVID-19 [25, 29, 30, 32–35, 39]; elevated C-reactive protein levels, associated with lymphocytopenia, elevated lactate dehydrogenase, as well as slightly elevated aspartate and alanine aminotransferase (AST, ALT) were commonly described in those eight reviews. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and COVID-19.
