These include lncRNAs that were reported to affect cell cycle progression, such as ANRIL, that repressed the expression of the CDK inhibitors p16Ink4a and p15Ink4b [28, 33, 34, 43]; MA-linc1, which regulates M/G1 transition and enhances Paclitaxel-induced apoptosis [27]; LINC00668, which, like ANRIL, enhances cell proliferation via silencing of CDK inhibitors [32]; GASL1, which restrains cell cycle progression as well as cell proliferation [23]; and LINC00673, which regulates cellular senescence in lung cancer and affects G1/S transition [22].
