Significant negative correlations (q < 0.05) were observed between the genus Bacteroides and body weight gain, plasma triglycerides and several blood pro-inflammatory markers (i.e. IL-1α, ΤNFα), while positive correlations were observed for both anti-inflammatory makers in the obesity context (e.g. IL-10 in blood and EAT, plasma IL-5, TSLP from EAT and TLR5 expression in EAT; Fig. 5). Here, TSLP is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
