FGFR1, a proven independent prognostic risk factor in patients with resected esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (Wang Y. et al., 2019), was significantly differentially expressed in mutant ESCA samples (p-value = 7.56e-04), and high expression of FGFR1 was associated with poorer patient prognosis (Figure 6B). Here, FGFR1 is linked to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
