Very recently, Peng X et al. has reported that miR-1258 overexpression inhibits cell proliferation, invasion and migration by targeting the E2F1 and altering AKT and P53 signal pathway in cervical cancer (42), which also highlights a wide regulatory network of miR‐1258/E2F1 axis in cancers. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and cervical carcinoma.
