Over the past two decades, infliximab (IFX), a monoclonal IgG1 anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) antibodies has proven to be effective in patients with moderate-to-severe CD refractory to conventional therapies (Hanauer et al., 2002; Colombel et al., 2007; Terdiman et al., 2013; Gagniere et al., 2015; Gionchetti et al., 2017).
