We hypothesized that the increased cough sensitivity in the bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis guinea pig model is associated with the upregulation of TRPA1 and TRPV1 in the jugular ganglia and nodose ganglia in the cough afferent pathway, which is related to the occurrence of neurogenic inflammation in the lungs. This evidence concerns the gene TRPA1 and pulmonary fibrosis.
