We identified 6 cancers displaying significant downregulation of CBS in CIMP vs non-CIMP tumors, including bladder urothelial carcinoma [BLCA] (P = 0.02), esophageal adenocarcinoma [EAC] (P = 0.01), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma [HNSC] (P = 0.006), liver hepatocellular carcinoma [LIHC] (P = 3.5 × 10−5), thymoma [THYM] (P = 3.2 × 10−6), and uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma [UCEC] (P = 3.6 × 10−11) (Fig. 3a). The gene discussed is CBS; the disease is esophageal adenocarcinoma.
