The highly CB2-selective synthetic cannabinoid HU308 decreased the levels of TNF-α, IL-18, IL-1β, and NLR family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) in RAW264.7 macrophages in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammation, effects which were also observed in an in vivo animal model of acute lung injury (ALI) in the same study [110]. Here, NLRP3 is linked to acute respiratory distress syndrome.
