Previous studies have shown that different tumor types are associated with (humoral) auto-immune [6] responses against tumor-associated antigens (TAA) frequently located in proteins that show altered expression levels, mutations, unique degradation profiles, misfolding or different post-translational modifications (PTM) (i.e., p53 is acetylated, phosphorylated, etc.), as well as ectopic locations inside the cell [7,8]. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and neoplasm.
