MACC1 and lip and oral cavity carcinoma: On adjusting the ORs (AORs) with a 95% confidence interval (CI) for risk factors including betel nut chewing, alcohol, and tobacco consumption, compared to the wild-type MACC1 SNP rs4721888 GG genotype, the GC genotype had a 1.272-fold (p = 0.044, 95% CI = 1.007–1.607) higher risk and was significantly associated with oral cancer as well as C-allele (GC + CC) 1.292-fold (p = 0.025, 95% CI = 1.033–1.617) by multiple logistic regression models.
