Miluchová et al. [19] and Moravčíková et al. [20] studied the polymorphism in the melanophilin (MLPH) gene responsible for melanin transport from the skin to the hair follicle in association with slow hair growth (BHFD) or even the fall-down of hair and the presence of alopecia (CDA). This evidence concerns the gene MLPH and congenital dyserythropoietic anemia.
