For non-HLA genes, we found a significant effect of the TT genotype and the PTPN22 T allele [rs2476601] on the risk of RA development: (TT) OR = 8.5 [CI: 4.6–15.56], p = 0.001, (T) OR = 2.3 [CI: 1.7—3.2], p = 0.0001. This evidence concerns the gene PTPN22 and rheumatoid arthritis.
