We first confirmed that, in agreement with our previous data, the murine anti-MUC1 antibodies 214D4 (pan-MUC1) and 5E5 (cancer-specific MUC1-Tn/STn) recognized the relevant MUC1-Tn/STn epitopes on CHO cells expressing MUC1 epitopes [21], while no binding was observed in the parental CHO ldlD cell line lacking MUC1 epitopes (Figure 1B).
