Many of the potential biomarkers thought to be involved in osteosarcoma include increased miR-9 expression, which positively correlates with tumor progression, microRNA 21, NFkB, RelA/RelB, CSF2/GM-CSF, CSF3/G-CSF, BMP2, CCL5, CXCL5, CXCL1, IL6, IL8, CXCR4, IRX1, CXCL14/NF-KB, UPR (GRP78, endoplasmin, calreticulin, and prelamin-A/C), and BMP-2 [79,84,85,86,87,88]. This evidence concerns the gene CSF2 and osteosarcoma.
