The results of a multivariate logistic regression analysis show that a 1-year increase in the age of the women with PCOS is associated with a nearly 2-fold lower risk of the persistence of PCOS 10 years after initial diagnosis, adjusted for baseline concentrations of FSH and AMH (OR = 0.59; 95% CI: 0.36 to 0.95, p = 0.03). The gene discussed is BRD2; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
