Finally, ANXA7 has been also reported as disturbed in skeletal muscle from patients suffering from DMD and MDX mouse, whereas normal muscle contains specifically a 51-kDa ANXA7 isoform, dystrophic muscle exhibits the additional 47-kDa isoform, usually found in undifferentiated myoblasts [49,118]. This evidence concerns the gene ANXA7 and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
