When we examined XRCC1 expression more closely in breast cancer using the UALCAN TCGA portal, we noted significantly increased expression of XRCC1 in luminal (566 cases, p < 10−12 compared with normal) and triple negative breast cancers (TNBC, 116 cases, p < 0.001) [11,29]. Here, XRCC1 is linked to triple-negative breast carcinoma.
