ALB and nutritional deficiency disease: Considering laboratory examination results, individuals suffering from malnutrition had lower GFR values (74 ± 21 vs. 82 ± 18; p < 0.01), lower serum total cholesterol levels (192 ± 44 vs. 217 ± 38; p < 0.01), lower albumin levels (35.4 ± 3.1 vs. 38.7 ± 3.1; p < 0.01) and lower lymphocyte counts (1.2 (0.9–1.8) vs. 2.1 (1.7–2.5); p < 0.01) relative to participants who were not malnourished.
