We found that the OGN levels were significantly higher in females than in males in the T2D group (19.88 (15.70–26.30) ng/mL vs. 16.68 (13.44–20.77) ng/mL; p = 0.009), but no differences were found for the healthy controls according to sex (Figure 1A). The gene discussed is OGN; the disease is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
