In multivariate analysis for RFS, AFP > 400 ng/mL (HR, 2.16; 95% CI, 1.34–3.49; p < 0.05), HCC of BM (HR, 3.01; 95% CI, 1.81–5.01; p < 0.05), the greatest tumor size (HR, 1.24; 95% CI, 1.16–1.33; p < 0.05), E–S histologic grade III–IV (HR, 2.25; 95% CI, 1.45–3.49; p < 0.05), and presence of microvascular invasion (HR, 2.15; 95% CI, 1.21–3.82; p < 0.05) were identified as independent risk factors for unfavorable RFS (Table 3).
