Such findings are consistent with previous studies, where downregulation of CD82 expression was associated with both advanced cancer stages (e.g., in breast, bladder, ovary, and prostate carcinomas and also in oral/esophageal/laryngeal/penile squamous cell carcinomas) and the transition to a metastatic phenotype [37,59,68,69,70]. This evidence concerns the gene CD82 and prostate carcinoma.
