While the tumor suppressing ability of CD82 was also shown in bladder, oral cancer, prostate, and ovary cancers, where cancer cell migration and invasion were drastically reduced upon its upregulation [72,73,74,75,76], in penile cancer, loss of CD82 led to an increase in tumor metastasis and higher HPV16 infection rates [24].
