We show in the current study that our CLL-FIT patients have a lower frequency of inhibitory-positive/activatory-negative NK cells (i.e., NKG2A+/KIRneg) and a higher frequency of fully competent mature inhibitory-negative/activatory-positive NK cells (i.e., NKG2Aneg/KIR+) that are better capable of recognizing and killing tumor cells [96].
