BRAF and non-small cell lung carcinoma: BRAF Mutations are found in 1–5% of NSCLC [45,46], equally divided between V600 (Valine replaced by other amino acid at position 600) and non-V600 [47], with V600E (Glutamic acid replacing Valine) being the most common V600 mutation, which occurs at the level of T1799 transversion in exon 15.
