FAAH and Alzheimer disease: Treatment with MAGL and FAAH inhibitors, which have the capacity to increase the level of eCBs indirectly, leads to anxiolytic, antidepressant, and anti-inflammatory effects, and reduces amyloid β deposition and inhibition of the death of dopaminergic neurons, which are associated with the pathogenesis of AD and PD, respectively (reviewed in [216,217]).
