The treatment of NSCLC has changed in recent years with the initial success of immunotherapy, especially that based on immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) with monoclonal antibodies against cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4) or programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and its ligand (PD-L1). Here, PDCD1 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
