ACE and cardiac hypertrophy: In particular, the reference drug Captopril, as other ACE-inhibitors which are gold standards in the prevention/reversion of cardiac hypertrophy, induced a significant anti-hypertrophic effect if compared to the hearts of the Control group (heart weight/rat weight = 3.87 ± 0.10 g/Kg vs. 4.30 ± 0.03, respectively).
