The patients were diagnosed with either stage III or stage IV oral carcinoma and were randomly divided into three treatment groups: 35 patients in group I received intra-arterial infusion of rAD-p53 and chemotherapy, 33 in group II received intra-arterial infusion of rAD-p53 and placebo chemotherapy and 31 in group III received intra-arterial infusion of placebo rAD-p53 and chemotherapy. Here, TP53 is linked to lip and oral cavity carcinoma.
