An analysis of the predicted miRNA-mediated regulation of 72 lupus susceptibility genes in humans and mice revealed that miRNAs located at the Dlk1-Dio3 locus were able to regulate 48 lupus susceptibility genes such as B cell lymphoma 2 (BCL2), PTEN, Roquin (RC3H1), Bcl-2 like protein 11 (BIM), and TLR7 [133]. The gene discussed is BCL2L11; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
