Besides this, C6orf106, which was related to weight in men in our study, also showed an association with lipid levels [high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, and apolipoprotein A1 and B], metabolic syndrome, WHR-adjusted BMI, waist circumference, and BMI in diverse populations (De Vries et al., 2019; Richardson et al., 2020; Zhu et al., 2020). The gene discussed is APOA1; the disease is metabolic syndrome.
