CD8A and colorectal carcinoma: In a large series of CRC patients who had not received adjuvant chemotherapy (GSE39582), and a cohort comprising 232 colorectal cancer patients (GSE17538), we found that a higher proportion of NK cells indicated a prolonged period of patient survival (P = 0.0079; P = 0.018) while an increased number of CD8+ T cells was associated with a better prognosis, although this was not statistically significant in either of the datasets.
