To interact with miRNAs and proteins in podocytes, pericytes, or TECs, lncRNAs such as taurine upregulated gene 1 (TUG1) (Zhao et al., 2019; Cao et al., 2020a, b), Rian (Bijkerk et al., 2019), 3110045C21Rik (Arvaniti et al., 2016) also function as anti-fibrotic lncRNA to participate in the pathogenesis of systematic erythematosus lupus (SLE), ischemia-reperfusion injury and obstructive nephropathy, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene TUG1 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
