In normal tissues, CD30 has an expression profile that is rather restricted to activated T, B and NK/T-cells, but is highly expressed in Reed Sternberg cells of Hodgkin's lymphoma, in anaplastic large-cell lymphoma and other non-Hodgkin lymphoma subtypes, for instance, in primary cutaneous anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (pcALCL) and certain cases of MF. This evidence concerns the gene TNFRSF8 and anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
