Since XRCC2 has not been previously reported in glioma, to observe the pooled effect of high expression of XRCC2 on patient prognosis, we integrated XRCC2 gene expression and patient survival information from eight datasets in the GEO, TCGA, CGGA databases, and the results of meta-analysis showed that the pooled HR along with 95% CI for the correlation between highly expressed XRCC2 and prognosis was 1.62 (1.34–1.95) Fig. 2D, which indicated that XRCC2 is a risk factor for glioma prognosis. This evidence concerns the gene XRCC2 and central nervous system cancer.
