We recruited 74 atopic patients with history of allergic rhinitis and/or asthma with high serum IgE levels (>180 IU/mL) and positive skin prick testing or specific serum IgE >0.35kU/L for common aeroallergens and 21 healthy non-atopic adults (Supplementary Table 1). The gene discussed is IGHE; the disease is asthma.
