METTL3 has been verified to be involved in proliferation, invasion, and metastasis of HCC cells, as well as the glycolysis and lipogenesis processes, promoting the carcinogenesis and progression of HCC (Chen et al., 2018; Chen S. L. et al., 2020; Lin Z. et al., 2020; Xu et al., 2020; Yang N. et al., 2020; Zuo et al., 2020; Table 1). The gene discussed is METTL3; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
