FGD5-AS1 was first identified as being involved in the lncRNA-associated ceRNA network of periodontitis (Li et al., 2018), and the upregulation of FGD5-AS1 could protect against periodontitis via regulating the miR-142-3p/SOCS6/NF-κB signals (Chen et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene FGD5 and periodontitis.
