To confirm the effect of the miR-1299/NEK2 pathway on the proliferation and migration of prostate cancer cells, MTT assays, flow cytometry and Transwell assays were conducted; overexpression of miR-1299 was found to significantly inhibit the expression of NEK2, reduce the relative viability of PCa cells and reduce their proliferation and migration rates. The gene discussed is NEK2; the disease is Familial prostate cancer.
